Another hit from Melissa! So easy to make.....ingredients that are on hand and absolutely delicious....what more can you ask for!
I do have to comment after reading so many comments in different recipes about the meals not costing $10.....I am sure that it means for the "amounts used" not the full cost of each product to buy. Would you count the entire lb. of butter for 2tblsp. of use or then entire bottle of wine?......I don't think so.....
Keep up the good work Melissa!

it was a very different soup. I followed the directions exactly as I always do the first time making a recipe. It had a very interesting taste, there was a hint of orange and carrot flavor. I let it sit a day so the flavors would marry, it didn't separate like some said it just got very thick. It was almost like eating carrot baby food. I would make this soup again, it was very easy and meatless something I'm looking for these days.

Sounded delish. Unfortunately I didn't care for it. I think my trouble was in not knowing how much salt to add. It seemed to need a lot of salt. I got tired of shaking the salt into it and, to save time, dumped too much. Behind the too salty flavor there just wasn't much there to savor other than a touch of orange.

In no way does this make Melissa a bad cook. I normally love what she presents and will keep coming back for ways to incorporate more vegetables in my diet.

I've always had a problem eating carrots cooked, so I wasn't sure I would like a carrot soup, but I've been trying almost all of Melissa's recipes for my family. This was the first soup I've made from scratch this way, and was amazed at how easy it was! I was even more surprised to find that I like how it turned out. Thank you Melissa!

I made this not sure what to expect and I was SO thrilled with the end result. I didn't have an orange so I used frozen orange juice concentrate (another of Melissa's tips and it was awesome. This soup has several layers of flavors making it better with each bite. It's quick, easy and so healthy! I'll make this again & again!

I'm a grad student cooking on a low budget and with little time so this recipe was great for me. Simple ingredients and it came together very quickly.

I really recommend this and Melissa's other recipes to anyone. Give it a shot and don't be afraid to tweak some of the ingredients.

I have been wanting to make this soup since I saw the show. I thought it might be pretty good, but I was mistaken. It is DELICIOUS!!! So beautiful and elegant and easy to prepare. Light in calories and heavy in taste. My husband wasn't certain that he even wanted to taste it. He loved it. I will add this to the top of my favorite soups.

If you try to make her dinners, you go over $10! Maybe she is just counting on the fact that she already had white wine in her fridge-not all of us do. Try going out and buying all of the ingredients for the whole dinner--it is a lot more than $10! I like a lot of her recipes but I think the show should not be Ten Dollar Dinners. Try for a more truthful title like: Feeding Four on a Budget.

I am NOT talking about Melissa...I am talking about Null. If you don't like the show then STOP WATCHING!! Simple as that.

Melissa...I love this soup. I like soup with some texture and this is wonderful with grilled cheese sandwiches. Thank you.

I made it with the broth from the turkey that was already seasoned w/orange juice, and put every thing in a crock pot.
