This is a super fast and tasty recipe - I loved it! The orange zest really lifts the flavor (yes, 1 tsp oregano is sufficient. I'm emailing this recipe with my son. He can use vegtable broth and share with his vegetarian roommate. Plus it's ideal for tight budgets. Thanks for this great recipe!

Thank you for another great recipe. Delicious and healthy. I modified a bit per some previous suggestions (1 tsp orange zest and I didn't have white wine so I used brandy and it turned out great. I will definitely make this again.

I was also disappointed with this one. The oregano could have easily been cut in half.

    Melissa,
I have never made a puree before but you made this look so good, as well as easy, on your show. I tried it and love it! I did make one change; I added a little ground corriander. I can hardly wait till my sister gets home to share it with her. Thank you for your budget friendly meals. We love you.

The soup was good but I needed to add another can of chicken broth so it would feed my family of 5. My daughter who said she wouldn't like it ended up loving it. I'll make it again for sure. Thanks Melissa!! I'm glad your show is finally back!

I have had carrot soup before at a local restaurant and enjoyed it very much. When I saw Melissa making this soup the other day, I immediately knew I had to try it myself. I am so glad that I did. It was fabulous and SOOO easy to make. Plus, it gave me a reason to use my blender : I served it with toasted slices opf ciabatta bread drizzled with olive oil. The toast functioned like a crouton and it was just perfect for this warm & hearty soup. Thank you Melissa and I am so glad that you are a regular on my favorite network.

A huge disappointment! The soup was so overpowered by the oregano that no carrot or orange taste came through. It had a very bite-y finish. Maybe lots less oregano and add some cream/whipping cream/milk? The sour cream just didn't cut it. Easy enough recipe to follow, but wouldn't recommend.

Wow! another great recipe from Melissa!! Easy and beautifull!! Looks very elegant and difficult yet it's pretty darn simple and inexpensive!! Made the tuna salad from the same episode to go with and it is fab too! Thanks Melissa!
