These potatoes are nice and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I sauteed them in olive oil in a stainless steel pan that was not non stick, big mistake. Prior to putting them in the oven I tasted them and found them to be bland so I added season salt, onion powder and garlic salt. I baked them in the stainless steel oven proof pan (that I used for sautee for 30 minutes and they had not browned at all so I increased the temp to 400 degrees for an additional 15 minutes and yet they did not brown. I eneded up putting them under the broiler and browned them lightly. They turned out excellent and my hubby asked me if I made tater tots. The pan on the other hand is a disaster, the stainless steel has the grease burnded on the sides and lip. I was able to get some of the bottom scraped clean by boiling soapy water in it. Do not make my mistake. Next time I will put them on a foil lined baking sheet and cook on convection bake to speed up the process.

These potatoes really do turn out as good as everyone says! The whole family loved them. I don't like pepper so I used salt and a little seasoned salt. As far as cooking times, I spent 5 extra minutes in the pan and then cooked them in the over for 20 minutes and they were perfect! Everyone should try these potatoes.

Been making potatoes every which way for years but not quite like this. Decided to try it and guess what, they were excellent. It is true that the insides are fluffy and light and the outsides crispy and good. Like I said, one can always learn something new and different. Melissa is teaching a lot of younger women (like my daughters how to cook on a budget and lots of tips to save time and increase flavor. Hopefully when her show returns it will be shown at a time when younger women are available to watch.

I loved these potatoes, tender inside, crispy outside. Took a step or two more than normal potatoes, but worth it. Will make again.

Loved these Potatoes. My husband and picky eater daughter loved them too. It took a bit longer to brown them, just give yourself some extra time.

Could your post the recipe that you did on one of Design Star shows it was the sliced potatoes in the cupcake pans with little cream I think. Please, please.

Yummy and so easy. I add garlic salt with the salt and pepper and some other spices and grated parmesan cheese on the baking sheet for that little extra flavor. My family enjoys it.
