I just made these over the weekend and they were declicious. They need to powdered sugar to add the sweetness.
I made them with Nutella and I made some with apricot preserves. Both were good. The Apricot was sweeter of course. The Nutella ones were delicious with a cup of coffee.
I doubled the dough recipe and put the other half in the freezer for later

Yummy. The dough is very forgiving, and a dream to roll out as Melissa demonstrated. Since it wasn't clear whether to use salted or unsalted butter, I added salt to my dough and 1/4 cup of sugar. I think the finished cookie definitely needs the sugar topping to round out the flavor. I tried an egg wash to get them to brown a bit, but it didn't do much. Nice to have such an pastry recipe in my pocket. Thanks again, Melissa!

They are great! They are not bland, I think possibly the people who are not loving them are overcooking them! I made a pumpkin filling with pumpkin pack, cinnamon and brown sugar for the filling. I top them off with a cinnamon and granulated sugar mixture! Everyone loves them!!!! I have done the nutella and that is really good too!

Melissa mentioned that it would be flaky during her show. To me, it was bland and dry. Did not like it at all.

Normally I'm a big Melissa fan but I made these following the recipe to the tee and they are so-so. I feel like they are missing something in the dough to add something extra. Not sure what though.

This dough is fantastic and so versatile. For the pchettes I've used peach jam as well as nutella, and I've used the dough for all sorts of things.

I think I actually like these better with the Nutella, but my husband like them better with jam. I can't wait to find other uses for this dough - it's so tasty and flaky you'll freak!

My son came home from Australia RAVING about Nutella so when I saw this recipe I was happy to try it. IT IS WONDERFUL!!!! It is so easy but so very delicious. Thanks Melissa. You are my favorite. No bells and whistles - just excellent recipes that my family loves.

Love this recipe. I've also filled it with raspberry preserves and drizzled chocolate over them. However, I also have the same recipe for Melissa's Mini Orange Pochettes and it calls for 1 teaspoon of vanilla in the dough recipe; typo maybe?
