Perfect as one of the sweets I chose to make for a tea. I never change the first time I try a recipe. Next time I might try some lemon zest and maybe a different filling. The Nutella was perfect for the recipe however, and this makes a beautiful presentation. Light and delicious. It's a keeper!

After reading some comments about the dough being plain, I added a few drops of almond essence and some sugar and a pinch of salt and I love it. I prefer this with raspberry jam filling rather than nutella. The chocolate filling seems dry after you bake it.

Wonderful light & fluffy dough, Nutella is a perfect filler. Made it for a desert with friends.. Was a huge hit!!!!! Just added 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to dough $ the flavor was great.

I love this recipe. I am usually terrible at baking, but this recipe was so easy. It was flaky and really delicious. Can this pastry be used with a savory filling?

Dough need longer in the fridge or it just gets to mooshy while working it due to the butter and the cream cheese.. lacked something.. not sure what, but will use the suggestion of a pinch of salt and maybe an egg wash to get it shiny and brown.. otherwise it was ok.

Since this dough recipe is similar to rugglach (see Ina Garten dough but with a little sugar I used what I had as I made some a few weeks ago. What a hit. My family loved them. What a great idea. Many reviewers said the dough lacked flavor. Just add 1/4 cup of sugar. I will def. make this again. I love to watch a show and get great ideas with ingredients we have on hand.

I want to make these for a very special group of women. I will need to transport them in my luggage and make them at least a day ahead of time. Is that doable? or do they get soggy when put into a sealed container?

This was an easy recipe and my family and co-workers loved the pochettes. I did use
salted butter and sprinkled some confectioners sugar onto my floured board when I rolled
out the cookies. They just melted in our mouths - very light and flaky! Thanks for so many
great and usable recipes Melissa; I always tivo your show.

the crust is flaky and super easy to work with but needs a pinch of salt or use salted butter. i bought a pastry mat from target and had no trouble working the dough. don't be afraid to flour your board (or mat in my case i did what another reviewer suggested and did an egg wash and sprinkled with granulated sugar after i tasted the first batch. i also spread the nutella out because i don't like to bite into something and just get pastry and no chocolate. the dough is too bland for my taste but i believe can be remedied with the salt. i will definitely try it again.
