Made this tonight. The crust is out of this world! Followed the recipe exactly, apples were dry and needed more sugar and spice (the Granny Smith's I used were small but fit perfectly in the crust. Needs something at the end of baking to moisten the apples. Will try again with apple preserves. For the most part, it's a really good, quick easy recipe.

This was great! The crust was easy, fast, and had a great taste and texture. The first time I made it, I used Mac apples, and the top was dry, the bottom soupy. After that, I used the Granny Smiths and it was perfect. Use the right apples!

Perfectly easy to prepare crust that works well with a variety of fruits and fillings. I'll be making this again and again!

The recipe looked very easy so I had to try! It was very easy to prepare but I baked it for 50 minutes and the crust was not done and the apples on the top were dry while those at the bottom were watery. The crust absorbed the liquid from the apples and became soggy. I will try again by baking the crust first for 10 minutes before putting in the filling. I will also add some flour to the apples to absorb the liquid.

This recipe was just okay...as previous reviewers said, it was dry looking and had too much cinnamon. I didn't mind the tart flavor as I prefer that, but I had to brush on some melted jelly to give it a sheen to improve the presentation.

Crust was not done, and apples were very dry.

Loved this recipe! Easy to do and follow. I added a bit more sugar and melted butter to the recipe. The whole family loved it and it will be used again and again!
