Followed the recipe to the letter. The crust was wonderful and I will use it for other recipes. However, the apples were very dry; too much cinnamon and not enough sugar. I would definately make this again using different apples; 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 2 tsp. sugar.

The pastry dough was easy to put together and had such great taste, but I too had some problems with the apples. I used Granny Smith (off my apple tree but the apples were very dry. I like a wetter filling. Next time I will use more sugar and lemon juice. Thanks Melissa for a great pastry dough recipe, I will be using this dough for other tarts.

absolutely delicious and easy! baked it for a bit longer than directed (probably 10 minutes or so? but it was great. Used a blender because my food processor is on its last legs, took a few shakes in between pulses, but that worked fine. Definitely recommend.

Well.... after 1 hour and 15 minutes my tart was full of apple juice, and the apples looked terrible, and the crust was not done (and I'm a very good cook. I lightly put some foil over the apples and continued cooking another half hour. My husband said it was delicious and definitely worth making again. (I'm dieting so didn't get to taste this. I used Pink Lady apples and 3T sugar with the apples, so don't know if that would have caused more juice or not. I think I might add 1 T. flour to the apple mixture next time. Was definitely fast and easy to make. Thanks, Melissa!

This was very simple to make and turned out delicious. I will make it again, but next time I will add a bit more sugar to the apples -- I love when desserts are not too sweet, but even this was a bit tart for my taste (it might have been that I added too much lemon juice because I squeezed about half a lemon into the apples, without measuring. I also had to add a couple extra tablespoons of cold water to the dough before it began to come together.

I absolutely loved the ease and simplicity of this tasty looking recipe. I tried it today in my kitchen and everyone loved it. I am making copies of this recipe this evening for my friends. Melissa's show today was an absolute hit for my business meeting in my house today. Thank you Melissa.
