I have tried several of Melissa's recipes and we love this one. The vinaigrette is also yummy drizzled over the salmon cakes.

This is SO good (and easy!! I fixed it tonight....yum! I went back for seconds. I will never steam asparagus again! Also, to those who give recipes star ratings BEFORE you try them....PLEASE DON'T! You have no idea how it tastes! Home cooks sometimes don't have time to read all the reviews and rely on the overall rating from people who have actually tried the recipe.

We loved this recipe so much! Roasting makes a huge difference (we used to steam them. We even tried grilling the asparagus on the BBQ and loved it even more. Melissa's show is so enjoyable, I wish it would last longer. Her personality is so refreshing and her love of food comes across in these great recipes! Thank you Melissa!

I just made this and have never roasted asparagus before. It came out of the oven, toasted with still a crunch. Awesome! I also made the sauce but I think it's great even without it. I think with the salt I put in the sauce and the salt on the asparagus, it was a little too salty for me, but that could have been my fault. I'll definitely make again!

I have never had nor ever wanted to try asparagus. I watched the Savory Savings episode and wanted to try all three dishes.

The asparagus was very simple to prepare. It was a very simple clean tasting dish.

Thanks, Melissa - this dish goes into my recipe box!

Needed a veggie to accompany my Denver omelet......perfect! You could make this with anything...chicken, steak, fish. Great! I've tried a few of Melissa's recipes and I've been very pleased with them. Looking forward to more of her good ideas.

blanch the asparagus first before roasting. Blanching is boiling for a few seconds in a large pot...then plunge asparagus in ice water bowl. this will help cut down the roasting time (10 minutes for raw asparagus??? and make a better carmelization on the end result. Blanching gives the asparugus a nice green color that maintains during the roasting process!
