I usually cook asparagus because it's easy and delicious, once I made this recipe I haven't gone back to cooking it any other way! It guarantees the stalks are perfectly cooked, crisp and the vinaigrette is a great, bright compliment to the asparagus. Everyone always comments on how delicious and it's so easy!!

Most of my family loves roasted asparagus to begin with, so I knew we'd enjoy this. The lemon vinaigrette is light and refreshing, although next time I might cut the amount of vinaigrette by half. My oldest son is the only person who is picky about asparagus, and he even told me "Mom, most asparagus I do not like, but I can tolerate this." That's high praise from him!

Have made this recipe several times and each time it reminded me of a crisp spring day. Thank you Melissa.

I ate the whole thing instead of dinner. :- It's really yummy and I just love the combination with the lemon vinaigrette. Can't wait for Melissa's show to continue.

I have loved asparagus for years and usually cook it standing up in my asparagus cooker so it cooks evenly. I tried this recipe the day after it aired and have made it twice since then. This is by far the best way of preparing asparagus I have ever tried. By the way, the dressing is great used on salads as well! Thanks Melissa for a great recipe. I love watching your shows...

Grilling the asparagus changes the flavor --- my teens will eat it grilled but not steamed. The vineagrette was fine, but to be honest, adding a squeeze of fresh lemon over the grilled vegies would do the same thing, considering you've already added olive oil and salt/pepper.
