A wonderful way to get more veggies in your diet. Still crisp and very tasty when the broccoli carmalizes in the oven. I find myself fixing broccoli more often. Have also tried these ingredients with other vegetables. Works very well.

I made it & my entire family wanted more. My Grandson, Chase who is 3 & loves broccoli thinks this receipe is the best & he helped me prepare it. I have used asparagus & it is terrific as well.

Ina Garten has made this dish for years. Melissa just looks through old programs, books and magazines and slightly tweeks recipes to make them her own.

No new shows lately? Is she pregnant again?

I am always trying to think of fresh new ways to make veggies taste yummy. This recipe did the trick. My two girls loved it and so did me and my husband. We made it as a side dish to a lasagna and found that it works really well with heavier italian-inspired dishes. I highly recommend this recipe - it's an easy way to get your whole family eating broccoli! Melissa has several recipes that I've tried and they have all turned out well.

I had never even thought of roasting broccoli before I saw the show. It was amazing! I put a little too much oil on but apart from that it was great. Will definitely be making this again!

We roast vegetables like this often-for the people who thought it was bitter or tough, be sure you peel the stalk, and cut the end a bit. Use enough olive oil, and enough s&p. Don't skimp, they actually seem to need more. We like fresh garlic, too, and use the same method for other veggies, like fresh green beans or asparagus, zucchini, and root veg.

I cook this tonight for dinner my kids and I loved it. I usually steam broccoli but I think roasting is going to be the way we cook it now.
    Very simple, easy and quick.

This is a great, quick recipe! Even her most simple, inexpensive dishes have a nice twist from the oridinary. So far I've printed out and tried just about everything Melissa has done on her show with few disappointments. I hope she can find time soon to publish a cookbook!
