The oven carmelizing the broccoli is the secret to this - so simple and SO delicious... it brings out a sweet, nutty flavor that I'm hooked on now!

Loved the flavor of this recipe. I usually cut off the stalks, so it was nice to feel like I wasn't wasting half of the broccoli. My finished product was a bit dry - I might not have drizzled on enough olive oil. Otherwise, loved it!

This was so easy to make and delicious too. Great nutty flavor...what a great idea. I never thought about roasting broccoli. The kids and even my picky eating husband raved about it . I will definitely make it again.

I try to eat broccoli, but don't do it often. However, I LOVE this recipe--baked (not steamed--boring with some parmesean cheese which is much better for the mayonnaise I usually put on my steamed broccoli. Thanks Melissa!!!

Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables, but this recipe didn't do it for me. I did find broccoli heads for 89 cents on sale, so decided to try this out. I used the 15 minute roasting time but the stalks especially were way too tough and chewy, though I did peel them well. The roasting seemed to increase the strong natural flavor and bitterness of the vegetable, and I didn't like it. I do like to do asparagus this way... really yummy. I like Melissa's show; what an improvement over some of her earlier efforts on the Next Food Network Star contest; I am ready for her to return, as I have liked several other recipes, and her personality is really sparkling now.

This is a fantastic way to take a healthy and inexpensive ingredient and make it taste out of this world! This is our new favorite way to eat broccoli. I made the recipe exactly as written and we loved it! Thanks Melissa!

I have roasted campari tomatoes and they tasted like candy and onion that came out so wonderfully sweet and delicious on a black forest ham sandwich
and oven roasted potatoes are my quick and easy stand by , but even my love for broccoli could not save this. it tasted horrible. i saw another floridian did not have good luck with this one either and was maybe thinking florida's available broccoli is just not that good at the moment.
