YUM! YUM! YUM! I deglazed with sherry and added a few tablespoons of cream. I smashed up the garlic and tossed cooked gnocchi in with all that garlicky goodness. My son went back for seconds. Good one Melissa! Thanks for keeping the budget in mind!

As most other reviewers say: inexpensive, easy, delicious and looks and tastes perfect for a dinner for guests! I had chicken tenders on hand, so since I used those, I cut garlic cloves in half to compensate for oven chicken cooking time. That was the only change I made. Really amazingly simple and wonderful! We were 'fighting' over the garlic, though, so I will probably add more next time, just to enjoy the sweet, spreadable garlic! :

Awesome job on this one, Melissa. I've made the "classic" a few times but this was quick and easy with the similar great flavor. I put the last bit of a bottle of white wine in the pan just before it went in the oven and the flavors were really developed. Brown rice was perfect with the sauce. Definitely a quick fix for an awesome weekday dinner.

5 stars from our family! This was easy, cheap and yummy! I had some boneless skinless chicken thighs as well as some with skin and bone. The kids had the boneless and my 10 yo son said it was the best chicken he ever had. My 7 year old loved eating the little roasted garlics. I am going to stock up on chicken thighs next time they are on sale and put this in my weekly rotation. Thanks Melissa...I cannot hardly wait for the next season of Ten Dollar Dinners! Oh, I just used poulty seasoning instead of herbes de provence...still delish.

I think this is the best recipe that Melissa has delivered. It is certainly one of the best dishes I have EVER made from the Food Network and I have made MANY things. I do not understand how anyone can have difficulty with this one if you simply follow the directions. This recipe is completely easy to do and absolutely delicious. My entire family is hooked. I made this with 10 thighs instead of 8 to accomodate my family. I added a few more more garlic cloves. This recipe is a hit and I will make it again and again.

Made this for dinner last night and it was YUMMY!!! I used boneless chicken breasts and cooked it for the 25 minutes the recipe called for. I also added carrots and potatoes. They required an additional 10 minutes to cook. I also increased the amount of stock to half a cup so there would be enough sauce. The chicken was juicy and had great flavor and sauce was great especially with a nice loaf of crusty bread. I'll be making this again!!
