These are probably the best cookies we have made in a really long time! I made the first batch Friday night, then made a second batch on Saturday morning to take on a picnic with friends. Now it's Sunday and I am make a third batch to take to my parents! Super easy and delicious. We are in Colorado, so I have modified the recipe a bit because of altitude - reduce the flour by amount a tablespoon and heat the oven to 325 degrees. Once you put the cookies in the oven, lower it to 300 degrees and then let them bake for about 25-28 minutes.
They're a hit! Thanks, Melissa!

These are absolutely perfect. I'm don't bake very often, and I was able to pull these off. I was skeptical about the rosemary but it was fantastic. Buttery and delicious, but not too sweet. Thanks for the recipe!

I love love love this recipe but I changed one thing. I used fresh rosemary (only because I have it growing in my garden. I minced the rosemary finely, I used about a 1/3 teaspoon. I made them for my friend's bridal shower and everyone loved them.

Wow, I have been wanting to make this recipe ever since I saw the episode and finally made them tonight. I too hate rolling out any kind of cookie so I took the tip from another reviewer and pressed the dough into an 8x8 glass dish and they came out great but did take an extra 10 minutes in a very carefully monitored oven. Even as I was crushing up the rosemary, I kept thinking is this really going to work? It smells so weird to put in a cookie! But they came out so unique and tasty! Am looking forward to also trying these with lavender infused sugar!
A couple of things: I only had salted butter and didn't want to make a run to the store so I just omitted the salt and it was just fine. Also, I happened to have mini dark chocolate chunks sitting in the cupboard, so I used those with great results. What a lovely cookie!

A big hit with family and friends - I did a sprinkle of gray sea salt on top prior to baking - love the salty sweet!

Love this shortbread. This couldn't be any easier! I've made this many times & always comes out perfect. Sometimes I substitute small chunks of dark chocolate for the chocolate chips & lavender for the rosemary. Just yummy!

This is the first d'Arabian recipe that I've tried and I absolutely LOVE IT!! I've always been a big fan of shortbread but for some odd reason, had never baked it before. The recipe is simple and the flavors are complex. Home run!!

I made this recipe (w/o a mixer I creamed the butter by hand (good workout! and it still came out delicious. Took them to a cookie exchange and some to an office meeting and everybody loved them. My platter was cleaned out first! This was the first time I ever made cookie from scratch and it has me motivated!
