I made this with fresh rosemary since I didn't have any dried. It came out great. The rosemary flavor is not overwhelming, but instead adds a subtle something special.

I made these cookies but, left out the Rosemary and Chocolate Chips! They are the most buttery cookies I have ever eaten. I have to make double for my son-in-law because he loves them too! I'm giving them as an "extra" in my gifts this year! GREAT cookies!

I never in a million years would have thought to put rosemary in a cookie. The rosemary adds a little extra something that makes it interesting and hard to eat just one. Another great recipe, keep up the good work Melissa!

This is a simple yet awesome recipe ... my four year old granddaughter and I baked these together and I wish I could add a picture to my five star rating ... smiles all the way around ... by the way ... we also love watching the show. Melissa is so engaging she attracts all ages ... and my girl and I are proof of that, if I have to miss the show I tape it to watch later. This cookie recipe is amazing, but my family and I have so many favorites from the show all of them winners. Melissa keep the recipes coming and the tips, you are so relatable and inspirational, whether its a young family or a retired couple with a four year old haha. I am recently disabled and went from working full time to living on a limited income, dear lady you make food affordable, absolutely delicious and fun. ... I hope that you are a part of Food Network for a long time to come ...

I thought the combination of rosemary and chocolate was creative. Since this recipe is so easy and I had everything on hand, I baked a batch. I was so excited to taste the shortbread that I took a bite just as soon as the cookies came out of the oven. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the recipe. It is absolutely delicious and makes your house smell so good!! Melissa, thank you for this wonderful recipe.

I appreciate the ease in which this recipe came together, and the ingredients are almost always on hand in this household. I also like the size of the recipe. Personally, I don't need more than a dozen or so cookies hanging around the house at one time, so the size of this recipe is perfect. Love the show!

Just finished making these, and I just ate one, HOT! out the oven!! and I'm in love, so perfect taste like these shortbread cookies my husband & I like to buy from a near by Italian Bakery shoppe, except now I get to make'em my self and for a lot cheaper!! This is a great cookie to add to anyone's permanent recipe collection! Unlike many shortbread recipes this cookie is crisp, but not dry. Like others I used fresh rosemary and I found the subtle hint of herb very appealing, even for children. But be very careful to cut the dough very very neatly if you want attractive cookies.
