    Wow,
This was a recipe that I decided to try because my husband loves Salmon but I never make it.
I do not like Salmon and it is not something I would ever order if out to dinner.
The recipe looked fairly easy and I thought my 3 year old might even like it.
So, after reading the reviews I made them and tweeked them just a bit.
Some complained of too "wet" a mixture so I added 2 potatoes ( some russets can be small Also I added a few more slices of bacon. ( now really can you ever have too much? Also, I zested a whole lemon and even squeezed some juice of the lemon in my mixture.
They came out AMAZING!!!!!! Even my almost 3 year old son loved them!
My husband didnt go with the 3 cakes per person serving size. He ate 5!
The next day I made a sandwich with a little mayo and that was also YUMMY!
Next time I might try and bake them for a little healthier version, also I think a red pepper mayo type of dressing would be great on them.
I love watching this show, I think Melissa is just great and no I do not like everything she has made MOST of the recipes I love.

I made this recipe for my family last night and we all really enjoyed it! I omitted the bacon and saute'd the onion in good olive oil and it still had good depth of flavor.

I would definetly make this again.

These came out really, really good. My potato was microwaved, so it didn't 'fluff' quite right which led to a lumpy texture. But yum-o-yummy, they ended frying up beautifully and tasted geat.

I made this dish with less mayo after reading some of the reviews. I also added a little minced jalape?o ( I like a little heat. My family absolutely loved them. The best Salmon Cakes I've ever made. I think the potato and the lemon zest made a world of difference.
Not sure if Salmon Cakes can earn 5 stars any way you look at it.

I always use a Old Bay Salmon Cake mix, but didn't have any on hand tonight. I remembered seeing a video clip of Melissa making salmon cakes. I tried her recipe. I didn't use any bacon or potato, and used regular yellow mustard. I added parsley, Old Bay, and a little cayenne. I really liked the crunch of the bread crumb coating. The salmon cakes LOOKED and TASTED very, very good. My family loved them and my 2 yr old grand-daughter asked for "more". Thanks, Melissa!

This has become a family favorite. We will vary the sauce we serve it with, but the dish Salmon Cakes remain the same. The potato makes the difference, I think. Easy and great flavor.

I MADE THESE FOR DINNER TONIGHT, THEY WERE VERY,VERY GOOD. I TOO FOUND THEM A LITTLE MOIST. USED TWO CANS OF SALMON ONE EGG I ONLY PUT 1/4TSP SUGAR AND I DRAINED THE SALMON VERY WELL. I WILL BE MAKING THESE AGAIN. THE NEXT TIME I WILL ONLY USE 1/4 CUP OF MAYO. THE ZEST OF LEMON REALLY MADE THE TASTE, IUSED THE ZEST A WHOLE LEMON FOR THE TWO CANS OF SOLMON. MY HUSBAND SAID THEY WERE THE BEST I'VE EVER MADE.
