Usually, I print off receipes and set them aside and eventually get to them. I'd printed this one and kept it in a big pile of recipes to try. I narrowed our choices for dinners this week down to about 15 recipes and let my wife make the final decisions. We went grocery shopping last night and she made this for dinner this evening. I didn't even know what recipe she'd selected, but we absolutely loved it. Funny thing is that I was telling her that Melissa has one similar - then I checked the actual recipes and saw that it IS Melissa's! Just fabulous. So sweet and such a combination of wonderful flavors. We bought all the ingredients on sale last night, and already had the sausage (50 cents each, bought the red pepper for $1, got the pasta (10 for $10, already had the wine, etc., so we figure it was under $10 and it is indeed at least 4 servings. Inspires me to try more new recipes, although we'll want to have this one again and again. Thanks!

Quick and Delicious! My entire family enjoys this dinner. The ingredients are wholesome, and there aren't ever any leftovers. Thanks again Melissa for making another delicious dinner for under $10 bucks!

This is so good. However, I made a couple of adjustments, I do not like penne but prefer thin spagehetti and added roasted garlic and red pepper flakes added extra flavor. For those who complain about the price; if you have noticed she shops smart and gets things on sale, well I do the same thing and this meal came out to about 8.00 dollas minus the desert, wine, and parm. The main ingrediants are the ones that add up to under $10. I already had the white wine and parm. So this is a relativly inexpensive and helathful meal and would reccomend it to anyone. Beside the extra wine and cheese is always there for another meal!

After having made it the first time with my friend Stephen, I couldnt wait to make it again, so just last saturday I was at one of Atlanta's local farmers markets and snagged some beautiful handmade tomato/basil penne knowing full well where that was gonna go!

I doubled the recipe, and living alone, I am always making dishes that I can eat on for a week....this is one of those dishes that gets better everyday (especially with a nice chilled white wine.

Thanks Melissa! I was there cheering you on when you won the Next Food Network Star, you earned it and Im glad the judges saw your potential, cant wait to see what ya gonna cook next!

This was a great and easy recipe to shop for and to make. Oven roasting the vegetables really brings out the flavors. This recipe was a hit with me and my family. I would suggest this recipe to anyone that really wants great flavor and simplicity in recipe.

I added a whole pkg (5 links of turkey italian sausage to the recipe. I also added italian herb seasoning, accent, and garlic powder to the veggies before cooking. I made a white wine sauce with a roux (sp? and added the same spices to that and added it to the pasta so the dish wasn't so dry.

I love watching her shows. She cooks with ingredients we all pretty much have in our kitchens...and it is always seasoned and tasty. Love the show and Melissa!

Enjoyed the way tastes complimented one another. Could be either a light or hearty meal depending on how soon you could stop eating.
