We did not like the way this turned out. The flavor was not a hit for my family despite how easy it was to prepare.

EZ Peezy; yummy too. I cut the amount of the ingredients in half and ended up with plenty for 2 to snack on. I see some reviewers had trouble getting the pop corn to pop while cooking on medium heat. I put my electric burner to med. high (7 out of 10. I followed the recipe word for word. When the test kernels popped (all the way out of the pot!! , I set my kitchen timer at 4 minutes. I quickly tossed in the pat of butter, pre-measured sugar, and the pop corn. By the time I was seasoning the popped corn in a paper bag, the 4 minute timer went off. It was that quick and simple to prepare this recipe. When the popcorn stops popping, take the pot off the heat or you'll end up with charred popcorn.

***ps be sure you use a heavy bottomed pot that will distribute heat evenly. If you use a thin, metal pot you'll end up with a charred mess.

Great snack for a crowd! I substituted Splenda blend for baking and it worked just as well with less sugar. You have to be vigilant or it will burn, but I didn't have that problem - just kept shaking it up!

Sorry - I usually like Melissa's recipes, but this turned out pretty bad. I followed the recipe, used medium heat, and it took forever to pop, only half of it popped, and what did pop, burned while I waited for the rest. It all clumped together into one big sticky burned mess with lots of unpopped kernels. Most online recipes say to avoid the kind of pan Melissa suggested because it'll burn popcorn. Maybe it depends on the individual pan? Anyway, the printed recipe went in the garbage can with the popcorn. I like kettle corn, but this didn't taste right. I'll keep trying other recipes from Melissa, though.

I burned the first batch and came close to buring the 2nd even after lowering the temp. Also had to omit the spices since i have a small child. None the less- it was delicious... not too sweet!

This was addicting! I halved the cayenne and added a little extra sugar to suit our tastes, and just shake the spices on in the pan. So easy and SO good!

This recipe did not work for me. I tried three batches ,lowering the temp. each time . I follwed the recipe to the letter. I'm no novice in the kitchen but after an hour in the kitchen and a trash can full of stinky burned sugar coated pop corn, I finally gave up and microwaved my wife a bag of popcorn. yuck!

My kettle corn always burned until I tried Melissa's recipe. Cooking it at medium heat really matters. I loved the combination of cinnamon and cayenne, and so did the family. Delectable!

I made this for our Super Bowl party and I could have stopped with this treat. I had to make 3 more batches during the game and then send home doggie bags. I have made it several times since Sunday and it is only Wednesday if that tells you how good this is. One of the best treats I have ever had and a family favorite. I give this a 5 star for good reason. I did reduce the Cayenne a bit since it was a little spicy for some.

1/2 tsp cayenne was a bit too much even for me (believe me, I'm Korean so I love spicy food.
