This dish is outstanding. I have an almost identical recipe that I got from Food Network when they first came on television quite a few years ago. Who would have thought this recipe would come full circle? Try it - you'll really enjoy it!

This had the flavor and mouth appeal of a grilled ham & swiss but delivered a bonus vegetable instead of bread. I added a bit of freshyly grated nutmeg to the bechemel. This was really yummy. I'd only had Belgian endive in salad but will now try it grilled and roasted with other things. I'll be making this one again. It was also very affordable. Thanks Melissa!

She had me on "it tastes like artichoke heart" which it does. This was fantastic. Thanks for introducing to me a new ingredient--roasted endive. I'm a fan of this now--used to think of it as only lettuce.

I saw this today on the show and made it tonight. Quick and easy to prepare, basically only the time to make the sauce. Lovely combination of flavors and nice crunch of the endive adds interest. Both my husband and I loved it! We will definitely make it again.

My family loved it! Never had endive before and it will now be in the dinner rotation. Very quick - Used Gruyère cheese in the Béchamel sauce instead of regular swiss. Thanks Melissa!

Oh my gosh. I normally use endives, raw, in salads. Or I've used endives as a healthy alternative in place of corn chips, with dips. This is the first time I've oven roasted them, and wow, its simple and tasty. Definitely a keeper.
