WTG, Cynthia, I agree with you 100%.

Anyone who disagrees about the cost of these meals needs to pull out the calculator.

We are afforded the freedom of speech, and some posters, and I'm not saying it's the one who posted just before you, seem to get off on posting negatives.

Although I'm not a fan of using processed food, the comments on Sandra Lee's recipes, are downright cruel. I'm sure other shows have similar comments.
If Lee's recipes were that bad as some posters say, who by the way are ALL ANNONYMOUS, she wouldn't be on Food Network, and sure as heck wouldn't have TWO shows.

I'm a registered member of Food Network, and I never get recipes EMAILED to me, all I've ever gotten is deals on stuff sold in the Food Network Store.

I've seen a lot of grousing about the cost of making Melissa's recipes; that they cost more than $10. One woman gave a breakdown of the costs $5 for wine, $1.99 for tomatoes, etc. What you are obviously failing to factor in is that they are prorating the cost of the ingredients. E.g. Wine may cost $5 for a bottle, however, if you're only using 4 oz. that would hardly connotate the entire cost of the bottle. It is the same for all of the ingredients in her recipes. The cost of shallots was a purported $2.50. Well, you don't use the entire package of shallots. If you would put your calculators to work, I suspect that you would quickly find that these recipes do cost $10. And, for the woman who was complaining about the Food Network e-mails, I highly recommend that you unsubscribe or block them.

Great recipe! I've made this several times and loved it each time! I highly recommend using a good tuna and toasting the bread cubes.

Had it on my list of things to make, but because I'm the only member of my family who likes tuna, I kept putting it off. Well, after finally getting to it, was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious...I now consider it my new comfort food and would also make a great picnic item. Have made so many of Melissa's dishes and they are all so full of bright and tasty flavors and nothing too complicated and ingredients are easy to find.

We loved this recipie! The best part was that I was able to double the amount for less than $7.00! Can't wait to make it this summer when it's hot outside, it will be perfect!

very tasty and suprisingly filling! Even better with a glass of wine to accompany it. If you're counting carbs, just buy a multigrain baguette. It's still very good. Husband went back for seconds!

I ate some of this for supper yesterday, and again today for lunch and then threw it out. I won't make it again. I tried ate it at room temperature yesterday, and then chilled today and didn't like it either way. The bread soaked up a whole lot of the dressing, so I picked it all out when I had it for supper. But that didn't make it any better. I also didn't like the kalamata olives. So far there are very, very few of Melissa's recipes that I have liked. And I agree with the person who said that you can't make most of them for $10 or less because there are too many items one wouldn't ordinarily have on hand.

Excellent. Used the high quality Italian tuna and toasted bread cubes tossed with olive oil and parmesan to make croutons. Will definitely be making this one again and again.
