I made this for lunch today and thought the flavors were delicious. As with all of Melissa's recipes that I have made I thought the recipe was simple to prepare and had lots of flavor. The next time I make this I will toast the bread cubes. Although I used day old bread I thought the cubes were mushy when I added the dressing. This salad would also be delicious without the bread.

I am so happy Melissa is back. I love to watch her. I've tried nearly every recipe she has done. They are great and so easy. I love her bubbly personality. She has such a big lovely smile. It makes me happy just to look at her. She is so real!!! Down to earth, and such a lovely busy mom. I hope she will put the recipe for the potatoes she cooked in the muffin tin when she won, on a show real soon.
I can't believe how mean some of you are that have rated her throwing off on her voice, which one described as jerkiness, and her teeth, which one indicated were false, or perhaps you meant veneered. Whatever, get a life. What, are you all perfect people. (Yes, I'm southern and proud of it.

Melissa, I love the tips you always include. For example, I now keep bacon frozen and slice off what I need; I now freeze ginger. Not sure if I got the idea from you, but I freeze garlic cloves as well. I appreciate simple, inexpensive recipes and all your money-saving ideas.

Sorry, but 1/4 of the portions of this menu would not fill me up for dinner. My husband would be looking for more food before the dishes were done.

What is up with FN that they chose such a lackluster, talentless cook for a program? She is hard to listen to with her shrill voice. When she smiles, her new teeth are obviously too BIG for her jaw. She bounces around like she is on a sugar high. Please give this gal some Ritalin.

Most of the meals Melissa makes would be okay for lunch but definitely not for dinner. One can of tuna for four persons is definitely way below anyone's requirements for protein at a meal.

Hopefully, FN will have a better choice of candidates this year. I really liked Jeffrey the runner up. His steak sandwich with harissa was dynamite. I have made it a number of times. Harissa is found in the ethnic aisle and is not the unusual ingredient that FN played it up to be.

I have a DVR on my tv and I have taken to taping the Hearty Boys which comes on after we are all in bed and find their recipes andtheir working together more informative and relaxing than watching cooks running around like Melissa and Rachel.

I don't know where Melissa shops but I can't duplicate the meals she makes for under $10.

Most of the recipes Melissa makes, I have made or variations of same for many years. The shows that I most enjoy now are shows like Chopped where they present a basket of disparate ingredients and four different meals are made from them. I hope that this is Melissa's last season.

A good base salad that I like to add additional flavors to. I've seen similar salads and they are always a good summer meal especially when using fresh picked vegetables and herbs from the garden.
