This has been one of my favorite recipes since the show aired. I prefer blueberry compote for the topping.

Delicious. I love how the ends of the cake curl up (super cool I am definitely going to make this again. I made this for my Sunday morning breakfast and was truly delighted!

Made this for my wife and young girls and it was a hit. Much better I think than other recipes I've seen elsewhere.

Next time I want to try adding a little extra something to the pan under the batter - diced granny smith apples seasoned in lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar.

I saw this on one of Melissa's shows some time ago, but after seeing a woman on Chopped make a lousy Dutch Baby the other night, I thought I'd try it. My husband and I ate it for supper tonight with crisp bacon and maple syrup, with winter fruit salad on the side -- he LOVED it! We hate all but one small sliver, which I'll have for breakfast tomorrow. He said "Let's definitely have this again." SO easy and quick to prepare. I did it in a teflon skillet, but I'll try it in my cast iron some time. It slid out easily from the teflon.

LOVE you, your recipes and your show, Melissa. :-

Made this for my grandchildren this morning and they loved it...even the picky one ate it. I didn't have blueberries so I used strawberries and it was still very delicious!
The only thing is that mine stuck to the pan very badly. I'm sure I did something wrong. Next time I will try my dutch oven instead of a skillet. I would love any suggestions from anyone else having the same problem.

This was good and simple. I served it with warm maple syrup as well. This recipe is a keeper!

This is easily the best dutch baby recipe I have ever tried and I have tried many. The secret seems to be the combination of sugar to add structure and heating of the milk to make sure the batter does not cool the pan too much when adding the batter. Other recipes recommend just letting the batter sit at room temp for a while but that is time consuming. Heating the milk is a great idea!

Also really liked the blueberry mixture. Traditionally this is served with lemon and powdered sugar. The lemon zest added a lot of the same character but with blueberries!

I cooked mine in a dutch oven for 25 minutes at 400 deg and it was perfect. Most people cook these with cast iron. Either way it seems to work great.

Why haven't I ever heard of this or tried it before?!?! Vanilla Dutch Baby is the greatest thing that I've tasted in a LONG time! I used raspberries, lemon juice, honey, & corn starch in my sauce & it was yum yum yummy! I've even substituted banana puree instead of the warm milk and my son loved them! The crispy crust around the edges is caramelized & heavenly! This recipe is a definite time saver versus making traditional pancakes!! Instead of slaving over a hot pan, I can do something else with my time (like the dishes. Thank you for sharing this recipe. We will be having vanilla dutch baby for many years to come. :

Came out exactly as planned. The only thing I would do differently next time is to warm the blueberry mix. I started with frozen blueberries and just defrosted them. They made the Pancake cold.....
