Update: The culinary team has incorporated bacon fat into the dressing recipe as seen on the show.

Delicious! I made it with a rib eye steak...one of the best salads I've ever had!

So good! This is a definite keeper. Non-salad loving boyfriend went back for seconds! Made it according to the recipe and it turned out great! Next time will add shaved carrots for more veggies.

Note: On the show, Melissa incorporated the bacon drippings/grease into the salad dressing and supplemented it with olive oil to equal 1/4 cup oil total. This is not noted in the directions but it's an important step! Makes the dressing much more bacon-y & delicious.

Got confused with the dressing. The ingredients did not list vinegar but when mixing all, vinegar was included. I added a dash. Of course it curdled. Is this what I did wrong? Oops. when printed recipe, the vinegar was omitted. Will try again.

Just didn't do it for us. We both thought it was ok but not terrific. The hot potatoes and steak caused the salad to become limp very quickly. I did, however, love the dressing.

Really yummy and easy to make! Whole family enjoyed it including my 8 and 11 year old. The dressing was amazing! I made a double batch of dressing since we had 5 people and we used it all. Will be making this again!

I thought this meal was very good. It was very simple to make and even DH who doesn't like salads thought it was very filling. We did change proportions towards our diet and instead of vegetable oil, we used olive oil only. We also used turkey bacon instead of real bacon. We will probably make again. It was a great way to stretch out a steak : Gonna pass along to my dad who is a big fan of salads with steaks.

This was delicious! The timings listed were perfect. The dressing has a delicious bite, the steak was perfectly done, and this is "meat and potatoes", with vegetables that my husband will eat. Agreed with an earlier reviewer - this goes on the Make Again list. Thanks Melissa for another winner!
