Watched this show for the first time today with my five year olds. One of them asked me to make this. I did and he ate his whole plate. Very simple and easy. I made it before baseball practice and we ate it when we got home. Great meal to make ahead of time.

This was very good and definately tasted like a steak dinner only lighter. I served it with crescent rolls to make it a little more filling. Omited the tomatoes and green onions and used prepackaged romain salad and a NY strip streak.Wish the recipe made more dressing-only had enough for 3 salads.Didn't have garlic powder so used garlic salt and omited the Kosher salt in the dressing. The potatoes had to cook way longer than called for to brown-closer to 40 min. Cooked the steak longer for our own preference. Even with all the little changes,it turned out great and even my picky 6yr. old liked it
-although he had his favorite ranch dressing on his since we ran out of the other!

Made it last night. Bacon dressing was really good. I used iceberg lettuce and greek plain yogurt instead of the sour cream. I will make it again, my husband really liked it!

Had a piece of leftover grilled sirlion. Brought it to room temp, made the salad and thought it was great. Used romaine since that was what I had. Making the dressing again tonight. Passing the receipe on. Great & easy meal on a busy night.

I just saw this on Sunday on Ten Dollar Dinners and I couldn't wait to make it. I used a CHEAP steak and pounded it. Turned out great and I didn't feel like I broke the budget OR my calorie allotment for the day. When are you going to put out a cookbook? I know a lot of us can't wait.

Watching Melissa make this I wondered if it was just too simple to be any good. It was! The steak was delicious, the dressing had a wonderful vinegar-y 'bite' (if you don't like that bite, add more olive oil, potatoes added a cool texture, and it was a really pretty salad. Used romaine lettuce instead with a great outcome. Probably more of a 'summer'ish' dish, but good in the fall when the weather's hot one day and cool the next. PS: Could not produce this meal for the $$ Melissa did though.

I saw Melissa prepare this on TV and it looked good. I tried it last night and it is absolutely great. I had a filet 6 oz. in the freezer and we shared this. It is a good receipe to make up ahead and prepare the potatoes and steak at the last minute. Also it is good so we don't go back for seconds!!! Will definitely be one of our favorites.
BTW, this is my first review!

This was a great dinner. I found a t-bone at the market for $5 and everything else was actually under $5, so it really was a $10 meal. It was really easy to make, absolutely delicious and healthy!!! We are definitely going to make this again...soon!

My mom and I made this tonight and it was a hit with the entire family, we should have made more of the dressing but everyone was happy with the portions and the flavors combined were great! Will be making this again!
