This is the best cassoulet that I have ever eaten! You did it again, Melissa!

This was over the top. I don't know how I cooked without you! The baked potato in the salmon patties, regrowing the green on my onion, etc thanks so much. Do you know you have alot of retiree cheerleaders?

This had great flavor, but I would definitely remove some of the bacon grease from the pan before cooking the vegetables. Maybe it's just me, but I do not like my lips to be coated with grease after a meal. I didn't end up keeping the leftover because of all the grease. But will try it again soon, WITHOUT all the grease.

It took me a little longer than she did on the show but it turned out delicious. I added a boneless pork chop which was tender and flavorful. This recipe is reasonably cheap but tastes thoroughly gourmet.

Melissa, Rooted for you the whole contest. Your recipes are fabulous! You bring so much knowledge from other parts of the world along with common sense cooking advice and that is exciting. You are fun to watch!
Are you able to put your pointers and tips up on line?? That would be fantastic!!! I watch your shows and then print off the recipes, but if I am delayed in printing them I can't remember tips you give as you prepare or cook. I am cooking up my beans now and when cooled will freeze them as you said. Thanks so much for sharing!

This was yummy. I wanted to try and make some healthier choices though, so I used boneless/skinless chicken breasts, and low sodium bacon-as well as a low sodium stock. It may not have been as rich as the original, but it was still great. I figured with my changes, it was probably a $15 meal for four or more(depending on portion sizes, which is still inexpensive. I will definitely make this again.

I think the recipe is great as is--very flavorful. I also made a more figure-friendly version by only using 1 strip of pork bacon and then for the rest I used 95% fat free turkey bacon that I fried with the pork bacon. I also used skinless chicken breast instead of skin-on thighs.
Very delicious and budget friendly either way!

Great flavors in this, and my first and only attempt at a cassoulet. However, this would not be a weekday recipe for me. Lots of of prep work plus the cooking time = late supper after a long day at the office.

I loved the flavor combination of the bacon, combined with the bread crumbs, thyme and chicken. The family loved it as well. Thanks again, Melissa, for a fantastic recipe!

This is terrific! We love chicken thighs and with the white beans so buttery and yummy...it's a hit with us! I LOVE watching Melissa ...she has a charming vulnerability while cooking. Hey? guess what? that's just like the majority of us gals in our kitchens.
SHE IS US !!!
