OH my goodness! So good! I have never deep fried fish or any meat before, so I was a little nervous the beer batter wouldn't come out right--but it was absolutely perfect. Just don't overcook the cod or it gets spongy. I messily cut the ingredients in 3rds so I wouldn't make as much, and it still came out without being exact. I basically just used the batter from this recipe. Used small flour tortillas, made a chipotle mayonnaise sauce for more flavor to go on the tacos, then just some cheese and romaine lettuce. Just like some tacos we love here at a local pub.

This recipe is a family favorite!!! Very flavorful and filling. The unusual slaw is so good it can eaten it by itself, add a little fresh lime juice on top and a dalop of the sour cream mixture...YUM. We've tried lots of different recipes for fish tacos over the years, but keep coming back to this one.

This is a terrific recipe. I didn't make the tacos - I was looking for a good beer batter. This is one of the best I've ever tasted. I used a nice, dry IPA for extra flavor, and I dredged the pieces in flour before the batter. I was in Alaska and had fresh halibut and everybody raved that it was fine restaurant quality. I will use this batter over and over again!

Amazing!!! We had wahoo fresh off the boat and this recipe was delicious. The fish was so moist! Easy for a first time beer batterer. We also made a chipotle in adobo crema in addition to the lime. Will be my go to recipe!

Had a pound and a half of fresh grouper. Looked for a beer batter recipe and found this. This batter is the bomb!!! Used my porcelain dutch oven 1-1/2" of peanut oil Cut the fish into 1" x 2" strips dunked them in the batter fried for 4-5 mins. Wow..also fried up some sweet potato strips...nice combo...fresh cole slaw on the side....Cold beer now that's Friday night living. Thanks for the recipe CHEF CHIARELLO.

This is just delicious. I didn't have cod so I used tilapia and it tasted great! I even battered some asparagus, fried them up and they were scrumptious too!

Made this recipe for fish tacos and everyone loved them! This is definately a keeper. The fish, I used Cod, was light and crispy with just the right amount of heat. The cilantro lime sour cream is perfect with the spicy fish. Delightful!!!

These are incredible. The batter is light and crispy with a lot of flavor. You could even add a little extra chipotle if you like your food spicier. Although they are fried, this is a meal that feels light and is great for a summer day!
