Like David and Russell indicate - absolutely - a Bloody Bull uses beef broth. One thing to remember - if you're using Campbell's Beef Consomme (it's concentrated & has a great flavor- be sure to read the label and get the can that says no gelatin added.

By definition and Bloody Bull has beef broth or consomme in it. That's why they call it "bull" - it's the beef.

A Bloody Bull is just that, a Bloody Mary with Beef Broth (hence the bull part added for an extra hearty flavor. This recipe calls for no beef broth. The flavor of all the ingredients are great & should include beef broth in order to honor it's name. Just add a shot or 2 of beef broth (Campbells works well to your next Bloody Mary to see what all the buzz is about. I also like an extra shake or 2 of Tabasco in mine to give an extra kick.
