This was so very delicious. I was apprehensive about throwing the veggies away, but the broth turns out to be this fabulous, rich, delicious concotion. Never mind how long it takes to make. Isn't that just the way chicken soups go? Also, on undercooking the noodles...I thought that was just plain odd, but I followed the recipe exactly and every bite was simply perfect!!!!

Made this for my Husband last night and he loved it. The chili flakes add that extra kick. The recipe is awesome for cold weather eating.

I love this recipe! The aroma of my house is out of this world. I have been making chicken soup for years and this recipe offers a whole added dimension of flavor and aroma. The browning of the meat and vegetables prior to boiling makes a huge difference. I am used to browning meat for Italian sause, and beef soup...but have never browned chicken for soup...It is Amazing!!!

This dish was introduced by Michael Chiarello as his wife's favorite. I made it for my wife and it was a huge hit! Prep and cooking time is 3-4 hours, however, it is well worth it!

This was like Italian Ramen without the sodium. The taste was simple yet rich and satisfying. The 2-1/2 to 3 hour simmering time for the chicken and broth makes it unlikely that I would make it again.

This soup was a big hit with my family, including a very picky seven year old. It was so good I thought I would share it with some co-workers who felt the same way I did after tasting this soup. The same co-workers immediately went to the site to print this recipe not trusting me to bring copies in!

I saw this recipe on the show yesterday, and at first I didn't appreciate the concept. But as the show continued and I saw how the recipe was prepared and served, I knew I had to try it. The longest part was the almost 3 hour simmering process, but when it was done, my family and I were so delighted! My 8 year old daughter REFUSES to eat any soup what so ever, but when I served this for dinner, she not only asked me for seconds, but asked to have it tomorrow night as well! So good, worth every minute!

Then again, I'm not really into pasta soups. It had some flavor but I was crazy about this recipe.
