Love this!! I lightened up the sugar a little. I used 2 1/2 12 lb bags with 1 cup sugar, divided it between 3 gallon mason jars and let it sit with vodka for 2-3 weeks. Then, I filled clear wine bottles with screw tops that I had washed out and saved. Perfect holiday gifts.

I made this one year and saved the masserated cranberries to use as "Adult" cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving. My sister, a nurse working the night shift, missed my warning that it was adult... as in liquored up. She was getting plastered on the "sauce"... and it was hysterical. The by product is as good as the beverage!

My wife and I make a double batch of this stuff every year about this time. When it is ready we transfer it into pint size fancy bottles and give them as gifts as we travel from households of family and friends during the holiday season. Always a great gift. We mix ours like a screwdriver. Vodka and OJ over ice. Works well.

Loved the recipe. Easy to make and it looks beautiful. The only problems is that you have to wait a whole week for it to be ready. No immediate gratification.

I saw this made on TV last year and I want to try it this year to give away as holiday gifts. The recipe shown on TV used orange zest as well, but the amount isn't listed here - How many oranges are used? Thanks!

I have made this recipe for the past three years at my holiday party. It has been such a hit that I have had to increase the amount that I make each year because one sip, and people are hooked! I did not run into the same problem with the amount of vodka because I improvise a bit with the amount I make, the number of jars, and how much of the cranberry mixture goes into each jar. I highly recommend this as a party drink!

I wish they had stated the bottle size on this recipe; I even checked napastyle.com and noticed it wasn't referenced there either. We originally used a 750 ml bottle of good vodka for the recipe which I think was too much sugar. Next time, we'll lighten up on the sugar or use a larger bottle of vodka. We filled individual bottles and gave them as gifts to friends and co-workers. They all loved them!

Cran delicious Vodka & Cranberry Sauce

Easy, Tasty, Beautiful presentation and packs a punch at the Christmas Holiday Party.
After draining the Vodka from the cranberries & orange rinds I decided to make a cranberry sauce.
Removing the orange rinds I took the cranberries added ? cup sugar and a cup of water and put them back on the stove.
I cooked them till the rest of the cranberries popped. Then I let them cool. I served them up for our annual Christmas party.
WOW, they added a nice punch to the party. Everyone loved the Vodka and the Vodka Cranberry sauce. Never did I think I could
Catch a buzz from cranberry sauce. Enjoy
