We prepared this appetizer on the grill about an hour before our guests arrived for dinner (which was also prepared on the grill. We served it lukewarm/room temperature. It was FANTASTIC! I eased up on the vinegar and added at least a teaspoon of kosher salt to the finished dish. The sweet corn comnbined with the zing of the onions to create perfect chip dipping.

I've made this salsa several times and highly recommend it. I'm always looking for new ways to use sweet corn in the summer, and this is one of my favorites. Recently I've started omitting the tomato juice to thicken up the salsa, and have added cilantro and diced jalapeno. The salsa makes an excellent dip for pita or tortilla chips, but is also tasty enough to serve alone as a salad or side.

This was my first attempt to use a recipe from the internet. With corn in abundance, we always grill. However, I wanted to try something different. I didn't grill the tomatoes, but just diced them after getting all the juices out. The corn was wonderful!!! Some people suggested cilantro, but the basil was great!

I highly suggest this recipe. It took me a bit of time to make since I was making a large batch for a party, but I'll tell you - it was definitely worth it! Everyone loved this dish. For my taste, I added a bit more onions and also some cilantro.

I've served this with corn chips, but I've also brought it to potlucks just as a salad. I get compliments every time.

Boy, was that a lot of work! I was really expecting great things because it sounded and looked so good on the show. But I was not a fan of the basil in the salsa. I think cilantro would've been much better instead of the basil with maybe a little lime juice.

I love this recipe!!! I call it my Italian salsa! Didn't have time to grill the corn or tomatos but it worked out great anyway, plus was really easy and totally yummy!

I originally had no intentions of using this for a "salsa" with chips and made this thinking I would use it as a side dish for a BBQ. I had just happened to make fresh tortilla chips the previous day so we tried a few with this and they were made for each other! It is wonderful as a side dish on it's own as well and I can imagine it in an omelette with cheese.

Excellent any way you eat it but don't eat it while freshly made and warm. I don't know why but it sticks to your teeth something awful but when cooled to room temperature it is great.

Thank you for the wonderful recipe Michael!
