I've made this meatloaf several times now, and that's saying something for me because I'm usually looking for new recipes to try. I make it a lot because it always turns out delicious and everyone loves this meatloaf.
I use seasoned breadcrumbs and maybe just a 1/4 cup of parmaesan instead of the full cup. Even my friend's 9-year-old son who will reject a plain turkey sandwich if it has anything but turkey including mayo and cheese - he is super picky - but he loves this dish. I've heard "this is the best meatloaf I've ever eaten!" every time I serve it to someone new. It's outstanding.

It was good meatloaf, I thought it would be a little better although my guests loved it and they are foodies. I will cut down on the breadcrumbs next time as that is what I tasted the most of. Other than that it looked pretty and was easy to make and I guess if my friends liked it that is what matters most.

This is BY FAR the BEST tasting, most moist, and overall appealing meatloaf dish that I've ever served. I made it for my Grandparents today and they loved it !!

Foodnetwork.com is my PRIMARY recipe spot and THANKS for the ease and convenience of popping online to find a quality recipe in minutes flat.

This was an incredibly tasty morsel of meat, eggs and seasonings. Do not listen to the nay sayers. The comments about it tasting like a meatball are from people who did not pay attention to the chef. OF COURSE IT TASTES ITALIAN, HE IS ITALIAN!!! It is a beautiful meatloaf. Undoubtedly the best I have had. We made a double recipe, ate the first loaf today for lunch and now I am already into the second loaf for dinner. This is truly a gastronomic event... speaking of... one side effect... the onions, the beef, the garlic... it is gastronomic on too many levels, but well worth it.

What a fantastic dish! There many great ways to alternate the receipe with still having an excellent feast! My husband does not like peppers, so you can eliminate them, use oatmeal for the breadcrumbs, add extra parm. cheese, and use ketchup instead of marinara sauce. Extra onions or garlic never hurt anyone too.

This would also be great to use as meatballs in your spaghetti dishes or in a meat lasagna receipe.

    Love it! Thanks Mike!

This recipe is absolutely delicious. It's like eating one, gigantic meatball. I have never been a fan of meatloaf but my Mom LOVES it, so I decided to try this recipe one night for her. This is something I would definitely make again. I left out the worcestire sauce (didn't have any and just doubled up on the balsamic. I think the fresh parmesan is the star in this dish. I used a green pepper vs. the red, personal preference. Definitely reccomend this one.
