I usually cook my button mushrooms with Salt/Pepper/Garlic. This was a nice change with the butter and herbs. I skipped the thyme/parsley/lemon because I forgot or didn't have it on hand. Used fresh chives instead for color. Recipe was very easy even though I was hesitant about leaving the mushrooms on such high temp with just oil. Had to control the urge to stir until well browned. I didn't have splash issues because I forgot the lemon. I skipped the white wine to make it toddler friendly and used instead the drippings from a steak that I was slicing while this cooked. Very nice! My way took only 8-10 cooking minutes, not 25.

We love these shrooms! However, we prefer to cook them outside because we keep setting off the smoke detector.

What a horrible thing to do to some fine mushrooms. The resulting flavor after carmelization and seasoning was so "earthy" that neither my wife or adult daughter would eat them. Just awful.
