Excellent recipe. I used 3 split breasts and halved the rest of the ingredients and easily served 4 with leftovers. I had just sweet paprika and about a tablespoon of chopped pickled jalapenos instead of the serenos and it was great. Kids loved it too.

Delicious and spicy. I cut the recipe in half and added the cilantro and pinto beans right to the mixture.

At first I was a bit scared with all the spices used but it blended together perfectly. My kids loved it as well. It was easy to make as well. I will definitely make this again.

I cut this down to just doing a single chicken breast to have some tacos for myself for breakfast. I omitted the flour and just reduced the sauce to nearly dry and put it on fresh made corn tortillas with some guacamole. Great Sunday morning breakfast!

great recipe!! i make it all the time. it has lots of flavor and just delicious all around. My kids love it !!! i sometimes cut back on the quantity of the spices as it tends to be to much, but overall the taste is great!!

I was a skeptical of this recipe but I was short on options and time so I went for it. I prepared it not exactly according to the recipebut pretty close because I wanted to appear that I knew what I was doing and didnt want anyone to see me looking at instructions. Anyway, I memorized as much as I could and went for it. I nervously served it and turned out a real winner. Whew! Remember I didnt memorize measurements just ingredients. For all those who thought it was good but there was still something missing; hopefully this helps. Here are some of the changes I made. I didnt know and didnt have smoked and sweet paprika but just paprika so I used that. I added green bell peppers to my onion and garlic mixture. I also chopped up some jalepenos from out of the can that had carrots and onions marinated and mixed in there and also added that to the onion mixture but at the end. I used a combination of chicken broth, tequila, and freshly squeezed lime for the liquid portion. Again I didnt use measurements for this either but just added as it simmered until it reached a consistency I was satisfied with; not goopy but not runny either. Mine was not the color of the picture so I thought I was messed up somewhere so I added cayenne pepper (added great flavor but nothing for color. I toasted some tortillas and added cheese and all in all it turned out great without the mystery "hmmm something's missing" taste.

I'm absolutely dumbfounded that anyone can find this dish lacking in flavor! This recipe is amazingly savory and flavorful!!! I made this for a group of dinner guests recently and they all raved about it and begged me to make it for them again. And in addition to being delicious, it's a very healthy recipe. I used the 5 cups of broth and simmered it a bit longer till the sauce thickened and the chicken got even more tender. I also mash the chunks of chicken with the top edge of a spatula to break it up and shred it some.
