FYI Foodnetwork...The ingredients do not include the crumbled blue cheese! (Michael used 8 oz of crumbled blue cheese.

I don't like blue cheese, so I did goat cheese, worked very well!

I made this in a 4? x 13? rectangular tart pan. I used 8 oz. white button, 8 oz. baby bella, and 8 oz. shiitake mushrooms. As per other reviews, I only dotted the top with really good French blue cheese. All other ingredients were used as stated. This was a big hit for a group dinner party. I sliced it down the middle and cut bite size portions. It was firm enough to hold with your hand for two to three bites. This was easy to transport, cut and serve at room temperature. Everyone asked for the recipe. One person did not eat mushrooms and liked it as well. Thanks for a recipe that will made often.

I have been making this tart for over two years now for special occasions and dinner parties, and every time I make it, its gone in a matter of minutes. Everyone wants the recipe and can't get over how delicious it is, even people who claim to not like blue cheese or mushrooms! I've made it without the blue cheese on top and its great that way too if someone really won't eat blue cheese, but its much better with the cheese. This is a definite winner of a recipe that is a keeper in my house!

I've made this several times for formal dinner parties. I make it in an oblong tart pan and serve it in small-ish servings as a first course with a nice sparkling wine. Even people who do not like blue cheese love this tart. People who love mushrooms always ask if there is more. I've served it in larger portions as a vegetarian main course with a green salad with a nice vinigarette.
    Perfect!

I made several of theses for a company party, my 18 year old son and about 20 of his friends decided they were hungry and do I have any food left. Since I was raised to always have more food than you need, I had plenty of food for them. Anyway I put all the food out for them on my deck and they were all looking at the mushroom tart and decided to try it, they were all saying how much they hate mushrooms but when they tasted it they all loved it. When they come to my house and are hungry they ask me if I can make them a mushroom tart. The one friend went to visit his family in Russia and had to take the recipe with him so he could make it for his family there, his did not turn out so well, but it was his first try at cooking. I will be making more of these for the boys when they come home from college over the hoildays. Who needs cookies when there is this delicious mushroom tart. I am still amazed how these boys go on about this dish and it made me feel good that they ate something they usually would not eat, and absolutely loved it. Thank you, Michael

I watched Michael make this and couldn't WAIT to make it. I ran to the store and purchased the extremely expensive ingredients, followed the recipe exactly and nearly threw up after I ate it. Even my son, who LOVEs mushrooms, only ate a couple of bites. Thick, heavy and disgusting, nasty and overly expensive.

I only changed one thing-instead of the blue cheese I added goat and feta. I actually think it was overpowering. If I were to make it again, I would do the same thing but only add 3-4 ounces of goat cheese over the top. I can't imagine that much blue cheese or feta. The feta I added was way too overpowering. Other than that, it was amazing.

This was outstanding. I did make 1/4 of the tart with feta cheese, I'm not a big blue cheese fan. My husband who likes both, thought they were both great. Other than that change, followed the recipe. Don't hesitate to make this tart, you won't be disappointed.
