OK, this is the third time making this now, so, I should chime in. Have made the first two times with fresh peas and am trying frozen peas today. I make this when I want to impress the Mrs. as part of a special dinner. Just follow the recipe, it works well. I do cut down on the cream by adding it to taste and not just to volume indicated and adjusting texture with milk. Drops the calories without sacrificing flavor or texture.

I have never made mashed potatoes with peas before. I'm glad I gave this recipe a chance. It turned out great, even though it is a lot of extra work to make compared with traditional mashed potatoes. I will for sure save this recipe though to make only on special occasions.

Tasty but way too many steps for mashed potatoes. 5 min prep time is grossly underestimated.

Made it on St. Patrick's Daty and it was a huge hit. It is now a regular at our table. An added bonus is we can get our granddaughters to eat peas. Okay, so we're fooling them. But hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!

The potatoes had way too much heavy cream and they didn't taste as good as they do when I use milk and butter. Maybe the cream and the unsalted butter were the reason. I don't know, but no one liked them. Sorry. :0(

LOTS of work for mashed potatoes. I made it with the balsamic cube steak so all I had to worry about at the end of the meal was these and it was still quite a bit to process. Delicious though!!

This was a definite keeper recipe. I'd be happy to make just the potatoes and not add the peas if I was pressed for time. My family loved it.
