I really thought this sounded like a great spin on lasagna. WRONG. It really wasn't that great, it was too greasy and I didn't even use all the pepperoni. I didn't like that there was no sauce on the top and the top layer was hard/very crunchy. Overall, I'm sorry I wasted the money on this one. I usually love Michael Chiarello's recipes.

My husband and I tried this dish last night - too greasy, and fat overload. We at about a 2" square each, and threw the rest away - I migh try it in the future with chicken instead of pepperoni.

I thought the flavor of the cream sauce was good, but all the pepperoni made the lasagna very greasy.

We like and use Parmesan a lot, but I'll tell you what...you better love it!! Overall we liked it..my husband wouldn't eat it because the overpowering parmesan. I was going to add chunked pineapple and I wish I would have..it probably would have cut back on the pugnent (sp taste. I probably won't make this again, but it was a very expensive lesson!! :-

Usually I get a bit crabby about reviews based on people's adaptations of a recipe but thought some people might like this one. Loved all of the ingredients in this recipe but was not up to a lasagna thing. I used 1/2 pound of Farfalle (bowtie pasta cooked al dente, added all the cheese into the bechamel, substituted 1/2 pound of slivered low salt salami for the pound of pepperoni, and mixed the whole thing together before baking. It turned out wonderful. Cannot imagine this recipe accomodating a full pound of pasta and pepperoni.

I made this for my grandkids (who live with us. My grand-daughter, Angel, only eats chicken strips, pizza rolls, pizza or french fries. We have a 2 bite try rule in our house, after her intitial "This is gonna make me sick" look, she took her two bites and before we knew it she was asking for more. There was a little leftover which she ask for as soon as she got home from school the next day as her snack. Thank you, we now have four things she will eat.

This recipe held great promise, and maybe it was my cheese that was too salty, but between the pepperoni, the cheese, and the added salt it was inedible.
