It was basically a good flavor but a little overpowering in the spices. I could not tell which one or maybe it was the garlic. We made sandwiches with a green cabbage/green bell pepper slaw which help tone down the flavor of the pork.

Easy recipe that gives you the perfect juicy southern style pork barbeque used in pulled pork sandwiches "down South"....I combined it with North Carolina barbeque sauce (vinegar based and spicy with cool sliced "slaw" alongside.... this wowed the family....will make it again and again...thanks Michael

I love salt and garlic but this recipe used it to the degree of overkill. I would do it again without the roasted garlic and substitute garlic powder and reduce the salt to no more than 3 tbs.

I live in the south where Pork barbecue rules. This recipe is just as good as what I get at my local BBQ joint. I even made slight changes...due to hot temps outside, I cooked the roast in a large crock pot (instead of the oven on low for 8-10hrs, with just the rub on it, and it was falling off the bones. As for the rub itself, I only had ingredients to make a half portion and eneded up only using half of that. I also substituted Herbes De Provence for the dried rosemary and thyme. This would be great to serve to a large crowd or to have leftovers to enjoy again and again!

it was a very easy recipe to prepare...i just went to a local health food store and ordered the measurements of what i needed to make this. then i stuck it in a blender and voila it was done! i have made this pork twice and it's just as good if not better each time than the last.
