This was my 1st attempt at Sangria and it was GREAT!! I like taste from the sparkling wine vs. the traditional red wines. Everyone loved this and the whole pitcher was gone in a matter or minutes. Easy to make and not expensive either!

It tastes much better if you leave out the brandy and just use the orange liquer.

It was the 4th of July, when I tried this tasty beverage. The only problem was that I did not stock enough ingrediants to keep the party rolling. Every one continued to come back for another and then another. Finally I went out and restocked. Thanks to your Sparkling Sangria, the party was a success.

I caught this on Saturday's show & winged it from memory for a party on Sunday. The recipe's that simple. I did make a couple of substitutions -- first, I noticed that Michael used grand marnier for the orange liquor; however, not having that on hand, triple sec made a suitable replacement. Also, I used frozen raspberries rather than fresh--this helped with the chilling, but they don't hold their shape as well once thawed. In any event, this beverage is light and refreshing, and I plan to serve it again at future gatherings.
