These were easy to make but really watch the cooking time. If the oil is hot it will not take 45 seconds to cook.

These nuts are delicious! They should come with a warning. I made them tonight and they're almost gone...and I'm the only one home! I thought it was going to be too much cayenne, but they're perfect.

Overall I though they were good, but I've made other spiced nuts that were easier to make and just as good. The thought of frying nuts again puts it at the bottom of my nut recipes.

Used these nuts in a spinach, clementine & vadalia onion vinaigrette salad. WHAT A COMBO! The spicy/sweetness of the nuts both went hand in hand with AND contrasted the vinaigrette. The extras were fought over all afternoon. It's become a staple in my recipe collection.

Made these two years in a row for Christmas. I wish Christmas came every day, it's that good. Double or triple this recipe, and freeze leftovers if you have any (which I did and nibbled on them last week. They're a great 'go to' healthy snack. For those who burned these, use the larger walnut HALVES...not chopped walnuts. For the 'seasoned' cook who said these spices didn't work...any seasoned cook knows you need to balance the spicy with the sweet...that's what makes these so perfectly delicious. Yes, it's messy but worth it. Dedicate a block of time and make enough to last. You won't be sorry.

I have made these for thepast two Christmas' for gifts. I have to double the recipe, since my husband loves them. They will burn quickly, so watch carefully. Will continue to make for holiday gifting.

I made these nuts for the holidays and packaged them in little tins to give away along with Christmas cookies. Everyone loved them. The nuts turned out to be neither too spicy nor too sweet - just right! I was worried that they would be too spicy for some palattes but everyone loved them. Frying the nuts is a little tricky but well worth it.
