I used a premade Graham cracker crust and ended up having enough for two pies! Anyways, this was sooooo delicious! Make sure you use REAL maple syrup. I used Grade A Dark Amber since I was also using that for my Thanksgiving turkey. What a winner.

The best flavor and texture of any pumpkin pie I ever tasted; it'll be part of our yearly holiday treat.

Historically I am NOT a fan of pumpkin pie. Last year I watched Michele make this on Throwdown with Bobby Flay and I decided to make it for Thanksgiving. It was amazing!!! I used canned pumpkin (Michele uses fresh. Last year I noticed it didn't set as firmly as I wanted it to, so this year I reduced the heavy cream to 1 cup and it was perfect. Everyone loves this dessert, even people who generally don't like pumpkin pie. This has become my absolute favorite dessert. I'm about to have a sliver for breakfast. :

Eh... I made two pumpkin pies last year for my families thanksgiving dinner. One of the pies was michele's and the other was just a regular Libbys pumpkin pie recipe. My family and I liked the classic libbys pie better. We didnt like the maple flavor in the pie, it made it kind of mushy/gooey, maybe I didnt do it right, but the filling just didnt set the way I had hoped. However the Pecan Streusel was amazing. This year I will use the Pecan Streusel with the libbys filling.

This recipe is amazing!! I made it this weekend as a trial run for Thanksgiving and my family all confirmed what other reviewers have wrote ... the BEST pumpkin pie ever, although I'm not sure that does it justice. This is simply a great pie. I did use my own recipe for the crust, but otherwise didn't vary from the ingredient list or instructions for the filling and topping. I decided at the last minute not to make the whipped topping and it wasn't missed.

Made this pie for a pie contest at school and won first place for best fall pie! Filling was yummy. Had extra left over and baked in mini muffin cups.

Oh my goodness this is SOOOO tasty!! Brought some to the neighbors, and they agreed with us, "the BEST pumpkin pie they'd ever had". It was a total hit when I showed up at Thanksgiving, nobody had tasted a pumpkin pie like it. I am going to try the fresh pumpkin puree next time.
