This was a great pie! Lighter than the usual pumpkin pie. Was a big hit this Thanksgiving and I didn't think it was too much work. In fact, I'm making another for a "leftover" party tonight.

I was pretty disappointed in this pie. Based on all the fantastic reviews I read, I thought it was going to be something really amazing. It just wasn't worth all the effort. It was time consuming and the crust was the biggest pain in the behind ever. In the end it certainly wasn't terrible, it just wasn't worth all the crazy good reviews (in my personal opinion and it wasn't worth all the time and effort put into it.

I made this pie just because the weather was changing and my mind screamed PIE TIME! I shared it with girls at my school, and now I am making two for a Thanksgiving pot luck and one for my family for Thanksgiving. It was absolutely delicious! And I just used a refrigerated pie crust to help myself out; still delicious.

I used a premade Graham cracker crust and ended up having enough for two pies! Anyways, this was sooooo delicious! Make sure you use REAL maple syrup. I used Grade A Dark Amber since I was also using that for my Thanksgiving turkey. What a winner.

The best flavor and texture of any pumpkin pie I ever tasted; it'll be part of our yearly holiday treat.

I didn't have the grade b syrup and the pie took a little longer to cook but it still turned out great!!

Historically I am NOT a fan of pumpkin pie. Last year I watched Michele make this on Throwdown with Bobby Flay and I decided to make it for Thanksgiving. It was amazing!!! I used canned pumpkin (Michele uses fresh. Last year I noticed it didn't set as firmly as I wanted it to, so this year I reduced the heavy cream to 1 cup and it was perfect. Everyone loves this dessert, even people who generally don't like pumpkin pie. This has become my absolute favorite dessert. I'm about to have a sliver for breakfast. :
