I am in charge of bringing the pumpkin pie to a friend's house for Thanksgiving this week, so when I found this recipe I decided to test drive it two weeks ago just to make sure it was what I wanted. I made it for my husband and another couple to try, and everyone raved about it. It was the most delicious pumpkin pie I've ever had. Although it was light, it was a little rich so I will have to make sure to give smaller pieces, but it was insanely tasty and worth every calorie. The maple whipped cream was the perfect topping, too.

I made this pie today and just finished eating some. It is deeeelish! I used fresh pumpkin that I pureed and the grade b maple syrup. It was a bit expensive to get the grade b, but very worth it. The texture of the pumpkin custard is silky and light, even though there's so much heavy cream in it. It is a delicious high-quality pie.

I grew up loving Libby pumpkin pies but this is the best pumpkin pie I have ever made. I fed it to friends who don't like pumpkin pie and even they loved it.
I was waiting for this recipe since 2009 when the throwdown aired. So glad they decided to print it. My family holidays will be that much tastier because of it.
This is a recipe everyone should try.
