Yummy, forgiving recipe. Didn't have dill , but it still was good.

Great go to reciepe. I did not have filet mignon tips on hand but I did have a package of Hormel beef tips with Au Jus. I deluted the Au Jus with 1/4 cup water and Vola beef brooth.( Sandra Lee would be proud The reciepe turned out fabulous. Thick and saucey. A little touch of wine - white or red may have intensified the flavor but honestly there was no need.

It tasted great with venison tenderloins,& organic whole wheat pasta but needed just a touch of salt & was alittle dry. The flavor was fabulous!!
I would definatly make it again in a heartbeat!!

I know there are a million reviews about this but I think that one more won't hurt. This is probably the best stroganoff recipe out there and I would argue that it is better than anything you could get at any restaurant.
We generally make this for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, gatherings, because it is just so wonderful it will bring a smile to everyone's faces.

The only things you should do is make 1 1/2 to twice as much sauce and we cut the mustard to 2/3 and make a little less noodles with a little more meat. because it seemed we were eating a pasta dish with a little meat rather than a meat dish with pasta. Oh! And it is a REALLY good idea to mix the flour with the sauce mix and not add it to the onions because it clumps up and you get little dough balls in your stroganoff... not yummy. :(

Well thats how we like it, it's obviously up to you to trial and error to your tastes, but I must say once you tweak it to your liking you will never want another stroganoff recipe ever again... and heck you may just want to eat it every night! we made it 3 nights in a row the first time we had it. : Hope this helped.

The 1st thing to do is double the sauce recipe but don't double the mustard part. I used top round london broil, because we feel filet shouldn't be covered with a sauce.

I will definately make it again for company and it is very simple even though the directions look hard.

I have tried MANY stoganoff recipes and this is by far the best! Just the right taste! I will definitely add this to our family recipe book!

We were able to whip this up fast and enjoyed the "comfort food" feel. We didn't have heavy cream, so just had to use whole milk and only had half the mushrooms needed. Still a tasty dish, though I wish the meat was seasoned more. Will make again, but will experiement with more seasonings...loved the dill! Not sure this is the BEST, but it is really good and FAST.
