Very good...everyone enjoyed it. Due to a couple of the comments (and the expense I cut back a bit on the saffron. But I think the full amount would not be too strong. Will make again and I'm looking forward to trying it on some salmon.

This was a great marinade for chicken breasts. I marinated them in this exact recipe for about 6 or 7 hours and we grilled them on charcoal and the flavors were great, plus the chicken was really juicy. I have the leftover marinade waiting in the freezer for another meal.

I needed a marinade for a salmon filet and this fit perfectly! I didn't have the safron and white winw vinegar...I used red. Great smells from the kitchen tonight:

As far as early prep goes and simplicity of recipe, this can't be beat! I've used this on Chicken and Shrimp, and I have to say, while both have been enjoyed, people really RAVED about the shrimp - I let them sit in the marinade for about 20 minutes.

The flavors are different, and bold, so it's not a recipe for the timid, but with chicken breasts, it's fantastic. I dont know if it was the marinade or the grilling, but the chicken was super moist and flavorful, so I highly recommend this recipe! It's a definite keeper in my box, and one I go back to frequently.

Is everyone tasting what i'm tasting?? I followed this recipe exactly and marinaded some chicken breasts overnight. Baked the chicken in the oven, and it smelled okay. But the taste was horrible! It was quite an assault on my taste buds. There was an overwhelming wine taste, and the medley of ingredients made everything taste like it was dipped in kitchen cleaner. Gross! I'm disappointed that a good amount of fresh chicken was wasted. Even tried feeding it to my dogs, and even THEY balked at it! What does that tell you?!

I'm very curious what everyone else is doing differently that makes this recipe deserving of the 5-stars and rave reviews. Do tell!

I liked the marinade, my two guests liked it even better-in fact they asked for the recipe. So I guess it is a matter of taste.

I made this marinade for chicken mainly because it was easy and I had all the ingredients - which is a miracle. It was fantastic, I can't wait to try it with fish.

I marinated chicken breast in this for about an hour and the chicken turned out really well - it was a hit with my guests.
