This is now a family favorite. We ate the beef for 3 days straight and the kids kept asking for more. It is really simple and delicious. We served with sticky rice and butter lettuce cups and the sauce. Awesome!

This is an incredible recipe. We have made this recipe several times with flank steak, pork tenderloin, and chicken breasts. All of turned out great. Make extra marinade... it freezes well.

Excellent recipe. Used flank steak instead. Couldn't find the paste, so I used a bottled "chile bean sauce" instead.

I used soy bean paste instead of chile bean paste which wasn't available to me. I really liked this recipe. Looks good too!

I actually have only used the marinade from this recipe. I've used it on both beef and chicken, and have to say, it is my favorite marinade! I don't have the Korean chili paste to add, but it still is very tasty.

I used flank steak because I couldn't find hanger steak. I'm lucky to live in Austin, where I was able to find the gochu jan at the SECOND Asian Market I went to. But, this may be hard to find for people who live in cities with smaller Asian populations, and I don't know if there is a suitable substitution.

The end result was very good. My husband has had bulgogi made by a Korean woman, and he said this was very close. An accomplishment, since I'd never tried bulgogi myself, and wasn't sure what it was supposed to taste like.

I would have given this 5 stars, but I gave it 4 because of the accessibility of gochu jan (red pepper paste.

This is the best bulgogi marinade I have ever had and I've eaten at many Korean home kitchens. It made it's debut at bbq and everyone loved it begging me for the recipe. Definately try it. The chili paste is so perfect in it. It has just the right amount of bite.
