    This was a great receipe.. I read the reviews before I made them & adjusted the receipe a smidge.For the folks who found the batter "to loose ", try using regular flour with a pinch more baking powder & letting it sit while the oil heats. Yummy!

    Delectable! Easy and quick recipe for an extremely satisfying treat. My husband and couldn't stop eating them as they were coming out of the cinnamon sugar coating. I recommend them fresh and warm, but cold the next day... just like a fresh doughnut.
    My mouth waters when I think of making another batch. mmm mmm

    This is so good. I've made this about a half dozen times this year since I found the recipe on the Food Network magazine. Every time I have an over ripe banana, I use this recipe. It's so easy and quick to make. The donuts are good even when they're cold. I'll try to memorize this recipe so I don't have to look up the recipe.

    Agree with others. The taste is good. The batter as described above is way off, too wet/loose. It comes out more like a funnel cake. In fact, this is a great batter for banana funnel cake, or a pancake, but not so much a beignet/donut hole. I added more cake flour to thicken, and kept them real small which helped.

    WONDERFUL! My kids and hubby gobbled these up... I doubled the recipe and used 1% milk, an extra banana and had no problem with the recipe. The beignets were not perfectly round but that was okay, they tasted and smelled SO good, no one even noticed that! This is now in my cookbook for GREAT quick and easy treats for the family.

    Okay was excited to try this as change from the usual banana bread. Well they were very tasty would give them five stars for that. However like another reviewer said they did not stay together in a ball like the picture. Found they had to be trimmed. Have tried recipes with rolled dough that produced nice and round balls. Also the frying time not enough at 15 seconds per side raw batter inside! About 1 minute total did it. So end result winning recipe for taste but not for cooking method/instructions. Will stick with the other kind in the future.

    I used cake flour when making this recipe but my batter came out thin. When I dropped it by tsp. into hot oil they did not stay in a ball like the picture. I added 3 T. more flour and
    then 3T.more and that was much better. They tasted great, my husband really liked them too.
    Did anyone have the problem I had? I re checked my measurements and I didn't make a mistake. I will make them again for my grandchildren, I know they will love them.

    and so quick to make. Husband and kids loved them, too.
    It's a little too sweet for my taste. I used only 1/2 cup of sugar when making the batter. Next time I may omit the sugar in the batter and just roll the beignets in the sugar cinnamon mixture.

    I loved this recipe, though I had to scrounge up the ingredients to make it work. All I had was all purpose flour so I did the 'this for that' deal, and used the regular flour minus a tablespoon plus TBS of cornstarch. They came out just lovely. I also used 2% milk as I haven't used whole milk since my 45 year old son was a baby.
