I didn't want to post this because I haven't tried the recipe yet but wanted to see what other people thought of it. If you want to Debbie-bash, please go to the Food Network Star page; there's a comment board for your opinions. I want to read a review of the food itself not on the person making it and whether she lacks or doesn't lack integrity. Stop parroting what the Food TV Star judges say. Yes, Debbie had some accountability issues but no one is perfect; she is not evil incarnate. I hope to make this dish and put in review.

this is a very quick and easy recipe and i love the edamame in the succotash. that's a great idea of intergrating an Asian ingredient in a southern fish. thank you Debbie for bringing in a a lot of good ideas in the show. i'm sorry to see Debbie leave because she brings in one of the most unique perspectives to Food Network. all the other contestants are more or less similar to what we already see in other shows. many people like Asian cuisines and i hope to see a show dedicated to Asian cuisines one day in Food Network soon.

This recipe was ok but nothing spectacular. The catfish breading was pretty standard, it needed more kick to it. I liked the succotash better but it also needed more kick to it so I added some red pepper flakes to give it the kick I like. I will go back to my own catfish recipe. I like edamame so will make the succotash again, just kicked up.

This recipe was fast, easy, and delicious. The 3 people who are trying to boycott Debbie by, most likely, not even making the dish and criticizing her for it are COMPLETE LOSERS. As if ALL the FN stars come up with EVERY SINGLE recipe they present all by themselves. Yeah, right! I think Debbie would make a great addition to FN, and make their list of stars more eclectic.

Love catfish and this recipe is easy to prepare. Love the succotash - this is a side that The Bonefish Grill serves and it is a perfect summer side. I really like Debbie. I think she is fun to watch and I think she is getting a bad rap on the comments. I like all of the final four and think they would all be great but I am voting for Melissa because she is the one I relate to the most - stay at home Mom that wants to cook with flavor but without the headache of difficult dishes. I made her tostados that were featured in the Sunday magazine - and they were incredible.

I love fried catfish but this recipe was pretty boring. The breading didn't compliment the catfish. I didn't care for the succotash either. Definitely not something I would make again or much less want to spend money on in a restaurant. I really don't care for Debbie either. I can't believe she's made it this far on the show. Her consistent lack of integrity and accountability are a real turn off. If she wins and gets a show, that's what I'm going to do: Turn Off!!

We were eating catfish for dinner tonight, so I tried this recipe. It's pretty similar to what I would've done on my own. I chose to mist with olive oil and bake, rather than fry. It tasted fine. The succotash was a good side dish with the fish. We even had endame beans on hand :- This isn't anything new in terms of cooking catfish. but if you have never done it before, this recipe should work for you.

I'm not sure why it didn't work for others? I read the other reviews which were bad.... maybe the fish wasn't fresh enough?

I tried making this dish and it did not taste very good. The taste was awful. I would not recommend. Also Debbie Lee lacks integrity, therefore I doubt that this is an original recipe. Not good at all.

I agree with you, Jeana. I think Debbie should have been gone long time ago. If Foodnetwork look at the fan votes they would see 68% of the fans want her gone. I really think that The Next Foodnetwork Star is rigged. It's about ratings.
