My 7 year daughter and I watched this episode today and she wanted to make all 3 recipes. These burgers, the apple and onion rings and the spicy milkshake. I was leery of the burger recipe for a couple of reasons. I was afraid of the tomato paste and parsley and my husband hates having cheese (especially Parmesan cheese which he normally hates in his burger. But my daughter insisted that we make ours just like Giada. So we did and holy cow! These burgers are amazing. They tasted so delicious. I loved them, my daughter and son loved them, and my husband LOVED them! I can't believe it! Rave reviews! And the apple and onion rings were also amazing. I am making these for my pool party coming up in a month. They are so easy and perfect for parties..THANKS, GIADA. I am going right now to try some of your other recipes.

Bootsie, you have given one-star ratings to recipes from several of the hosts because you have a problem with the music on their shows. I've run across them quite a few times in the last few months. STOP IT! The music has nothing to do with the quality of the recipes, and this area is supposed to be for recipe reviews. If you don't like the music, use the "contact us" link at the bottom of every single page on this web site. I haven't seen anyone else mention that the music bothers them. The chefs don't control the music, and it's not fair for you to keep bringing down the ratings of their recipes because you apparently have hyper-sensitive ears.

These burgers were soo yummy. My boyfriend and I loved them. I will definetly make them again. I used a little less parsley than the recipe, but they were awesome. I recommend anyone make them. Also the onion rings were perfect with them.

These are so, so, SO good. I used fontina cheese instead and they were great. Perfect for appetizers. Love them!

This recipe has become my husband's favorite!! These burgers are fabulous!! I only made half the recipe and made four 1/4 lb. burgers (two for dinner, froze the other two. I used Fontina cheese because I love the way it melts. My husband said that next time I made my meatballs, to use this recipe to see how it would be!! The onion rings from this episode were a perfect match!!
Very easy and worth the time!!

This is one of my favorite recipes of Giada's! This recipe is very simple and very tasty. I used ground sirloin since I had that on hand, and I thought the meat would be dry, but it came out very juicy. Although I didn't make the patties as thick as she does in the episode, I made them to fit the ciabatta rolls I found. I dislike parsley so much that I usually omit it from every recipe, but it really was a key component and it gave the meat great flavor. I also couldn't find the cheese she listed, but I used provolone and it was delicious. My husband is a harsh food critic but he absolutely loved this dish! I can?t wait to make it for all the food snobs in my family.

I was surprised at how flavorful they were with such few ingredients. I will definitely make these again. My fiance` loved them! I was finished cooking before he was finished with the dishes :-. I was unable to find the Taleggio cheese and substituted soft mild sheep's milk cheese. NOTE- Her version makes 9 mini-patties. i used HALF the meat / ingredients and was able to make 8. Personally, i don't think her size qualifies as a mini-burger if its 1/4 lb. of meat. So, consider your preference when scoring your meat. Mine were roughly 1/8 lb. and about 1 inch thick and grilled 4 minutes on each side. "MMMM"

These hamburgers are amazing! Despite the fact that the ingredients are simple, these little burgers are packed with flavor. I could not find that certain cheese in my grocery store, i used white vermont cheddar. It tasted just as good. I also read that the cheese she uses is a pungent and smelly cheese. For the tomato paste, I found "Tomato Paste with Pesto" in my store. I think this definitely increased the great flavor! This will most certainly be going in my recipe box.

I had to improvise on this recipe a little bit. I used curly parsley instead of flat leaf and "snowflake" rolls instead of ciabatta bread, simply because our store didn't have it. I also couldn't find that particular cheese in the store, so I used white American cheese. It didn't seem to matter, because the burgers were bursting with flavor and were far better than just about any burger you could buy. We didn't even need ketchup. I almost didn't heat up the rolls with oil but I am glad I did, it just added an extra texture and flavor to this great dish.
