I made this recipe for dinner tonight after seeing the show this morning. I wouldn't change a thing with this recipe. It was great! I thought about just seasoning and cooking the breasts whole to save time -- not going through the trouble of cubing and skewering them. I'm glad I took the time to do the kabobs. It gave more surface area for the wonderful spice rub to coat and flavor. The herb sauce was also an excellent compliment to the seasoned chicken. This is a keeper recipe for my family!

I seen you on a episode of Down Home with the Neelys, you were interesting to watch even then. Congratulations!! You did an exquisite job today, you left me anxious to see your next episode. I'll be recording you for sure!! (smile Using spices have always been somewhat intimidating to me... but watching all my favorite Food Network Chefs, and now you, has been encouraging for me to go for them even more! I tried the Moroccan Chicken Skewers today, aaaaahh man were they good!!! It was quick and easy to put together, and no big mess to clean up!! I'll be trying the Cucumber Medallions & Carrot Cupcakes soon, I'll be sure to review them as well. I like the way you broke everything down, you gave us other recipe suggestions on what we can use the Chinese 5 spice in, and hope you continue to do that. I can't wait to see what's next..... I am lucky enough to live in Denver, and Janet's spice shop is my happy place. For those of you who do not live nearby, you can order any of the spices from the show (including Madagascar vanilla from the Savory Spice Shop (Janet's store website:

    I
loved the first show - can't wait for more!

I love cooking with spices and often seek out recipes for the new ones that I've come across. I had all the ingredients on hand and made this dish this afternoon. Rather than cube the chicken, I halved the breasts horizontally, sprinkled them with the spice mixture and grilled them. Excellent flavors except I think next time I'll cut back on the cumin as it was a little too pronounced. For whoever is looking for Madagascar vanilla, you can find it at Williams-Sonoma or any of the mail-order sites such as Penzey's and The Spice House. I believe it's labeled as "Madagascar Bourbon".

I could almost taste it! And, you were so easy follow making this and all your recipes today. My friends will be so impressed with the dipping sauce, a "must share". I've been looking for just this type of chicken dish for easy entertaining. and you demystified spicing for me. I love the little pop-up window after you introduce the spice, the star of the show". It helps me remember it better. Great first show! Great recipes.
