Very disappointing! Rather tasteless and bitter.

Wow; this was wonderful and easy. I had some bacon grease stored in a jar and used it instead of cooking more bacon, my husband was pleased. A great way to get in a healthy fresh vegetable.

I had to triple this recipe to have enough. Although, I don't think the bacon had to be tripled because of all the fat that it renders. I think that this makes an easy side dish. I liked this even though I am not a spinach lover. I hubby loved it so that means it will be on regular rotation.

Great recipe. I used link sausage instead of bacon which I diced up finely and browned before adding the fresh spinach. I used about 1.5 lbs of spinach and 1/2 pound of sausage links. Turned out really tasty!

This was good and easy but not extraordinary. I made it last night and we all liked it. I may make this again as an easy side dish.

As others have said, a very simple, flavorful side dish to go with anything. This is the second time I've made it tonight, and my fire house co workers love it. You have to remember that you may think you have a lot of spinach, but once you put it in the pan / pot, it'll shrink down to a very small serving. I used 3 bags of baby spinach which one bag yielded 2 servings and I fed 6 big hungry fire fighters, including myself. Everyone only got one serving out of it, it disappeared fast. I made this with another Neely recipe, the peach glazed ham, also another favorite. Balsamic vinegar is a potent liquid and must be careful not to use too much, which is what I think another user did since it was said to overpower it.
