Even though I read the other reviews, I was *totally* unprepared for how fatty this would be. I took the advice to look for the leanest ribs and to dump the oil out of the pan after browning the ribs, so I figured I was doing pretty well.....until I took the lid off after three hours. The ribs were sitting in grease! Oh my. That being said, we were the envy of the neighborhood as the aroma wafted from my kitchen and down the street. Smells divine while cooking! The taste was amazing. I'm not sure how anyone is eating the sauce off of this without a gallbladder attack, though. If you want a good and tasty recipe for ribs, this one fits the bill. Just know that ribs are a VERY fatty cut of meat and this recipe will not be on any low-fat menu. :-

Very tasty. The show used oxtails not short ribs, but I went with short ribs. A little fatty; will drain off some of the grease next time. Also the recipe says chicken stock; but I used beef stock just like on the show. My guests all enjoyed it. Great recipe Gina and Pat!

These short ribs were really good. I didn't care for the texture of the grits with the ribs but think that roasted garlic mashed potatoes would be great with it. I will make this again. Thanks!

This was my first experience with short ribs and my husband and I just loved it! Short ribs are very fatty but the flavor of the meat is just lovely! I will definately use this recipe again.
