Not only did I absolutely love this dish, but my seven year old who is a picky eater loved it as well. I will be making this dish again. I can just say, "it's delicious!"

Made these tonight. They had really good flavor and were tender but even though I picked the short ribs with the least amount of fat they were still very fatty. I guess short ribs are just a fatty cut of meat.My family was not a fan of these due to this but the flavor was good. Made with their grilled broccolli and rice and was a nice meal except for the ribs being to fatty.

Hate to give the Neelys such a low rating, since I usually love their recipes. But this one was different. I followed it exactly and had it cooking in my dutch oven for 3 hours. We didn't care for the sauce and I didn't even finish my food. I have no idea what it was about the taste. Maybe too sour or too acidic.

Also the amount of work that went into making it wasnt worth the end result. Sorry Pat and Gina. But I love you and your show. Dont know why it didnt taste great when 90% of the reviewers gave it a 5.

Could there have been a typo in the recipe ?

This was my first time making short ribs and this recipe was great. The meat was just falling off the bone and my boyfriend loved it. I removed the ribs and thickened the gravy up a bit with a little corn starch and then soaked the meat back in the gravy on the stove for a few before serving. Everyone went back for seconds. :

I made this tonight for my boyfriend and I. I cut the recipe in half. It was so good. I served it with homemade bread. It was so good to soak up the gravy. One thing i did differently was to discard the extra grease after browning the meat and cooked the veggies in a little of the broth to reduce some of the fat. This will be something i make again.

Very good flavor, just wish I could have found leaner short ribs, but all in all this recipe is a keeper!

This is one of the best recipes that I have used from Food Network! The wonderful aroma lingered in the house for hours after dinner. This was one of the few times that I didn't have one drop of leftovers. Everyone couldn't get enough. I used boneless short ribs because I couldn't find bone in. I'm making it again tonight with bone-in.

Awesome ribs that stick to your ribs... I used boneless short ribs, added some mushrooms, placed the ribs, veggies, and a little sauce over white rice, and it was delicious. This is an easy recipe, fills your house with the smell hearty gooodness, and there's plenty of leftovers. For dessert I made the Neelys' apple crisp with bourbon sauce, another of my favorites.
